CWB Welding Foundation Award for Women

Award description: 

One award, valued at $5,000, will be provided annually to a full-time women-identifying undergraduate student enrolled in Year Four of the Mechanical Engineering program who is pursuing the Welding and Joining Specialization, wherein women are underrepresented. Selection is based on academic excellence (minimum 70% cumulative average) and demonstrated intent to pursue a career in the materials joining and allied technologies services industry. Interested students should submit an application by October 1. This fund is made possible by a donation from the CWB Welding Foundation to help students who wish to pursue a career in welding.

  • must be able to demonstrate intent to pursue a career in the materials joining and allied technologies services industry
