This scholarship was established by the late J.W. Dyck, the founder of the Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies. Valued at $1,000, it is awarded to the student with the highest overall average entering the second or third year of a German and/or Russian/Slavic program. Students may only win the award once. Results are announced in September.
