A scholarship, valued at up to $1,500, will be awarded annually to a full-time female undergraduate student entering Year Four of any program in the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science, wherein women are underrepresented. Selection is based on academic achievement (minimum 80% cumulative average) combined with a demonstrated interest in the area of artificial intelligence. Interested students must submit an application outlining their interest in artificial intelligence by November 1. This fund is made possible by a donation from alumnus Sam Pasupalak (BCS ’12) in recognition of his commitment to the promotion of gender equality in the technology industry.
