Award description: 

A scholarship, valued at $2,000, will be awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in Year Three or Four of the Biochemistry program in the Faculty of Science. Selection is based on academic excellence (minimum 80% cumulative average), and co-op placement research impact. Interested students should apply online by October 15. This fund is made possible by a donation from family and friends of Peter J. Belshaw (BSc ’90) to help support and sustain the next generation of scientific inquiry.

  • Full-time students enrolled in Year Three or Four in Biochemistry
  • minimum 80% cumulative average
  • completed co-op placement research in Biochemistry
  • 1,000 word max. statement outlining impact of research done on co-op placement
  • Resume/CV required
  • Reference letter NOT required
