Samuel Automation Capstone Design Award

Award description: 

An award, valued at $5,000, will be provided annually to an undergraduate student team enrolled in Year Four of Mechatronics or Systems Design Engineering and undertaking a fourth-year Capstone Design project. Selection will be based on project proposals that, in the opinion of the selection committee, include use of technology relevant to automation and have a strong integration across mechanical design, controls and build aspects. Interested students are to apply through the Faculty of Engineering’s Capstone Design website: https://uwaterloo.ca/engineering/capstone-design-awards-application-form. This fund is made possible by a donation from Samuel Automation to support students interested in automation.

Value description: 

$5,000 - divided equally among the winning team members
