Award description:
One scholarship, valued at $10,000, is awarded bi-annually to outstanding undergraduate students in second-year of an Earth & Environmental Sciences program. The scholarships are payable over three years. Renewal in subsequent years is dependent on the recipient maintaining an 80% cumulative average and continued enrollment in an Earth Sciences program. These scholarships are funded by a generous donation from Suncor in recognition of the outstanding programs at the University of Waterloo and to meet the needs of the Canadian oil and gas industry through trained human resources capable of playing a leadership role in the sector.

- selection is based on leadership potential and extracurricular interests
