An award, valued at $2,500, will be provided annually to a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in Year Three of the PharmD program in the School of Pharmacy. Selection is based on academic excellence (minimum 75% cumulative average) combined with a demonstrated interest in enhancing women’s health and proven innovative thinking during co-op work terms. Interested students should submit an on-line application by February 15. This award is made possible by a donation from Alison Watson to the Canadian Federation of University Women Kitchener-Waterloo Charitable Fund. She has established this fund in honour of her mother, Winifred Walker. Winifred graduated as a pharmacist from the University of Edinburgh in 1938 and retained her interest in learning, as well as her health, until her passing at age 101.
