Pasupalak Undergraduate Scholarship for Women in Computer Science

Award description: 

A scholarship, valued at up to $1,500, will be awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student who identifies as a woman entering Year Four of any program in the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science, wherein women are underrepresented. Selection is based on academic achievement (minimum 80% cumulative average) combined with a demonstrated interest in the area of artificial intelligence. Interested students must submit an application outlining their interest in artificial intelligence by November 1. This fund is made possible by a donation from alumnus Sam Pasupalak (BCS `12) in recognition of his commitment to the promotion of gender equality in the technology industry.
