Award description: 

Up to five awards, valued at $2,000 each, are provided annually to undergraduate students who have declared Human Rights as their minor. Selection is based on academic achievement (minimum 77% cumulative average) and demonstrated engagement with and commitment to human rights, both in the classroom and beyond. Preference will be given to students who take upper-year HRTS courses (300-400 level). An application is due May 30; refer to the United College website for full details. This award was created in honour of Lloyd Axworthy, the first chancellor of United College (previously St. Paul’s University College).
