Defence Scientist | Adjunct Professor, Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering
Dr. Eugene Yee is a Defence Scientist at Defence R&D Canada. In this capacity, he conducted pure and applied research including experimental investigations and stochastic modelling of turbulence and turbulent diffusion phenomena in the atmosphere, experimental and computational modelling/methods related to urban flow and dispersion, and application of Bayesian inference for sensor/model data fusion in the context of source reconstruction. He has authored or co-authored more than 200 papers in refereed conferences and scientific journals and over 60 peer-reviewed technical reports. He is currently an adjunct professor at University of Waterloo where he conducts research on scientific machine learning and scientific computing.
Graduate Supervision:
Dr. Yee supervises graduate students in MASc and PhD programs in Mechanical Engineering is the areas of scientific machine learning, reduced-order modelling, and large-scale scientific computing encompassing among other areas of interest computational fluid dynamics, computational aeroacoustics, and multi-physics interactions of fluid flow with solid structures.
