Developed through a long-standing partnership between the University of Waterloo and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Fundamentals of International Aviation is available as a micro-credential pathway through ICAO. Building on a programme first launched in 2017, this globally recognized learning pathway offers flexible, online professional development through a series of short, stackable micro-credentials.

Learners who complete all three courses earn the International Aviation Sustainability Certificate (IASC)
These online, self-paced professional development courses are delivered through WISA’s learning management system. Learners who successfully complete a course’s final exam will earn an electronic Certificate of Completion. Learners who successfully complete all three WISA courses will earn the International Aviation Sustainability Certification.
Please note that the ICAO FoIA micro-credential pathway is separate from the WISA certification route and does not count toward the IASC.
