The United Nations has declared 2026-2035 to be the Decade of Sustainable Transport.
Aligned with this call to action, the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Aeronautics has partnered with the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy and the Waterloo Centre for Automotive Research to launch an ambitious three-year initiative known as the Future in Motion Network (FIM).
FIM combines the University’s research leadership in aeronautics, clean energy and automotive systems — as well as Canada’s largest university aviation program — to accelerate sustainable solutions across the transportation sector.
Together with trailblazing partners, FIM connects research, industry and community leaders who share a common vision for the sector — to become a global driver of knowledge and innovation that will advance our sustainable futures.
