Assistant Professor, Management Sciences
Dr. Saeed Ghadimi is an assistant professor in the Department of Management Sciences at the University of Waterloo. Before joining UWaterloo, he was an associate research scholar at Princeton University. He also received his PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering from University of Florida.
His research is mainly focused on decision making under uncertainty motivated by data science applications. In particular, he works on a) reinforcement learning and stochastic optimization, b) developing first- and second-order algorithms for machine learning and large scale optimization problems, and c) simulation-based optimization.
Professor Ghadimi is currently considering applications from graduate students.
