Walter Di Bartolomeo began his career in 1985 as an aerodynamicist at Pratt & Whitney Canada. He retired after serving, for 37 years, in various roles including Vice-President of Engineering and Engine Programs and Vice-President of New Products and services.

Mr. Di Bartolomeo earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from McGill University.

Mr. Di Bartolomeo has served on the board of directors of the Global Aerospace Centre for Icing and Environmental Research (GLACIER) as well as the board of directors of the Consortium for Research and Innovation in Aerospace in Québec (CRIAQ) and Consortium for Aerospace Research and Innovation in Canada (CARIC). He also served on advisory boards of the NRC Aerospace Research Centre and McGill’s Institute for Aerospace Engineering.

Since his retirement, Mr. Di Bartolomeo has worked with the founding partners of INSAT (the Initiative for Sustainable Aviation Technology™ of Canada) to stand up a joint industry-government technology eco-system that will support the growth of one of Canada's most innovative and export-driven sectors – Aerospace.

Mr. Di Bartolomeo currently serves as the Chairman of the Interim Board of Directors of INSAT.
