For the first time since the SDGs were launched in 2015, global progress for the Goals has decreased, in large part due to the historic disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. This decrease in progress is a stark reminder that the UN's Decade of Action for the SDGs is more urgent than ever in helping the world "build forward better" from the pandemic.
In September 2020, SDSN Youth Canada onboarded 13 new SDG Coordinators across the country to establish and run SDG Hubs on their campuses. These hubs act as central points to ensure students are aware of the SDGs, understand their importance to the wider community, and have opportunities to take action towards their implementation during their studies and after graduation.
We are excited to extend a warm welcome to our newest network members!
