Welcoming Our New Network Members

We are excited to extend a warm welcome to our newest network members!

Seven academic institutions have joined the SDSN Canada network since April, and they are all dedicated to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through research, collaboration, student engagement, and more.

We look forward to their contributions to the network in pushing the SDGs forward in Canada! You can find a full up-to-date list of our network members and their contacts.

Held during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Together|Ensemble was Canada’s first online all-of-society conference devoted to tracking progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event brought together an impressive mix of over 100 speakers in more than two dozen sessions for an audience of 1,400 attendees.

Two successful proposals have been awarded $10,000 each as part of an SDSN Canada seed funding initiative to support member research to achieve the SDGs within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The main aims for the seed funding are to support members to secure larger funding streams from which to build their research, as well as to create opportunities for members to work together in pursuit of the SDGs.

We are pleased to announce that we are co-hosting an upcoming panel conversation to discuss the concept of sustainable innovation in Québec and the types of accelerated action that are needed to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as we kickstart what the United Nations has called a 'Decade of Action'.
