SDSN Canada is pleased to announce a new collaboration to co-host Together|Ensemble, Canada’s national conference devoted to tracking progress on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Together|Ensemble is an all-of-society approach to addressing Canada’s toughest sustainable development challenges, bringing people together from different generations, geographies and lived experiences representing the private sector, academia, government, and civil society.
SDSN Canada is pleased to announce a partnership with Dr. Mark Jaccard, professor of sustainable energy in the School of Resource and Environmental Management from Simon Fraser University, to begin the development of scenario planning towards net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Canada by 2050.

The Government of Canada has released its national strategy 'Towards Canada’s 2030 Agenda', outlining the Government’s approach to implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The strategy proposes 30 concrete federal actions to advance the SDGs in Canada, ranging from enhancing federal leadership and SDG policy coherence, building awareness of the Goals among Canadians, prioritizing reconciliation and the 2030 Agenda, and investing to open new financing streams for the SDGs.

SDSN Canada, Waterloo Global Science Initiative, TakingITGlobal, and Youth Climate Lab, with the support of the Government of Canada’s SDG Unit, recently teamed up to engage university and college students across Canada on their perceptions of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how they should be implemented on campus, in their communities, and across the country.
