Award description: 

A bursary, valued at $2,500, will be awarded to a full-time undergraduate student enrolling in Year One of the Science and Business program in the Faculty of Science. Selection will be based on a combination of academic excellence and demonstrated financial need as determined by Waterloo. To be considered, students must complete the University of Waterloo Entrance Bursary application by April 15. This bursary was created to commemorate Farhan Jiwani (BSc ’12) and was established through the generosity of Farhan's family and friends, including UW alumni and ACTO founders Parth Khanna, Kapil Kalra and Kumar Erramilli.

    • You can find the application on the Awards and financial aid tab in the Waterloo application portal.
    • Access to the form is limited to Ontario students who will be studying on a full-time basis and who are applying to post-secondary studies for the first time.
    • Additional eligibility criteria can be found on the application form.
    • The Entrance Bursary application is open from February 1 to April 15.
