The UWCISA Predictive Analytics Competition sponsored by ISACA Toronto Chapter is back for its third year. This year, 392 second-year students, organized into 77 teams, will showcase their analytical skill and innovative thinking.  This year, 392 second-year students, organized into 77 teams, have demonstrated their analytical skills and innovative thinking.  The four finalist teams will gather on Friday, August 30, 2024, to present their solutions to a compelling business challenge.

The 4th annual interactive dashboard competition, co-sponsored by UWCISA and the ISACA Toronto Chapter will be held on Zoom December 15th, 10:30 AM.

The competition is a platform for first-year SAF students to demonstrate their exceptional skills in data analytics with the top performing team receiving a $1000 prize sponsored by the ISACA Toronto Chapter.

The Institute of Internal Auditors has renewed the University of Waterloo in the Internal Auditing Education Partnership (IAEP) program for the 2023-2028 period. The IAEP program was developed to respond to the growing interest in internal audit education at institutions of higher learning and recognizes institutions that demonstrate ongoing leadership in internal audit education. The global Institute of Internal Auditors’ renewal of its affiliation with the University of Waterloo signifies that the curricula developed prepare students with the skills and knowledge to help them conduct internal audits as well as provide a foundation to begin preparing for the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) examination. Waterloo joins a select group of over 50 other distinguished institutions world-wide participating in the program.

The 3rd annual interactive dashboard competition, co-sponsored by UWCISA and the ISACA Toronto Chapter started with 91 teams (all 452 AFM112 students). 24 teams advanced to the second round. During the final round of the competition the top five teams will present their dashboard to a panel of industry and academic experts. The top performing team will receive the $1000 prize sponsored by the ISACA Toronto Chapter.
