Three Water Institute members have recently been appointed University Research Chairs in recognition of their outstanding research accomplishments: Roy Brouwer, professor in the Department of Economics; Michael Tam, professor in the Department Chemical Engineering; and Olaf Weber, professor in the School of Environment, Enterprise and Development.
The honour of University Research Chair is a seven-year term which recognizes their impressive scholarly contributions at the University of Waterloo. The designation of University Research Chair was established by the university to recognize exceptional achievement and pre-eminence in a particular field of knowledge. A faculty member with this title will receive additional resources in form of time or funding to enhance their research. The Water Institute is thrilled to have our member’s research efforts acknowledged in this way.
