Rebecca Saari

About
Rebecca Saari is an Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of
Waterloo. Her research builds integrated modeling frameworks to represent linkages of energy, climate,
and air pollution and to evaluate the air quality impacts of future energy choices. She previously worked
for Environment Canada as an air issues scientist, and for AECOM as an air quality engineer. She holds
a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto, an M.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
from University Toronto, and a Ph.D. in Engineering Systems from MIT.
