Title:

Electric Vehicle Development in China

Abstract:

The problem of energy shortage and environmental pollution becomes a serious issue for all countries in the world. Many countries began to develop electric vehicles. China also made a lot of effort in the development of electric vehicles and has made great progress in BEV, HEV and FCEV. Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences has been engaged in researching on electric vehicle controller, battery management system and wireless charging technology.

Presented by Dr. Lifang Wang, Professor, Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

In 1997, Dr. Lifang Wang got Ph.D degree in Jilin University of Technology in the field of Automotive Engineering. After that, she has been doing research associated with Electric and Hybrid electric vehicle control system, Battery Management System, Wireless charge and Smart Electricity Use. Now she is the director of the vehicle electronics research center in the institute, the vice director of Key Laboratory of Power Electronics and Electric Drive, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

During the tenth-five year plan(2001-2005), she was head of the 863 Electric Vehicle Key Project Office, and also one of the national specialists group of Electric Vehicle Key Project founded by Chinese High Technology Research and Development Program(863).

She has chaired more than 15 projects in her research field funded by MOST, Local government and enterprises.

She has published more than 50 papers.
