Abstract:
Successful low carbon solutions for Medium and Heavy duty transportation applications require automotive and fueling solutions that involve energy density, energy portability, instantaneous availability, combined with performance characteristics that deliver in all kinds of weather and conditions. Tariq will discuss how compressed natural gas, when combined with biogas blends, are fulfilling these requirements today.

Tariq Qurashi has spent twenty years in the energy industry and the past ten in the world of energy management. In preceding industry roles, Tariq applied the tools of the Building Sciences such as, solid state controls, measurement and verification and emerging motor technologies to help commercial and industrial customers optimize their use of electricity and gas in buildings. More recently Tariq has joined the Natural Gas transportation team at Enbridge Gas Distribution, where he works with Logistic vehicle fleets, as well as the irrespective automotive and fueling service providers to develop value propositions that offer lower emissions an life cycle operating savings, that can be directly supported by Ontario’s Climate Change Action plan.
