WiE Design Day Event

Do you think you can build a car powered by nothing but air? Come join WiE on June 29th from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM  to participate in our balloon-powered car challenge. You will be designing and building a car using everyday materials in small groups. To put your design to the test, we will have races with the other teams. May the best designed balloon-powered car win!

Car Care Workshop with AutoCate! Register Now

The WiE Committee is hosting a Car Care Workshop with AutoCate, a company dedicated to educating and empowering car owners. Alongside AutoCate, participants will learn how to jump start a battery, check their oil, and learn the basic terminology of car functions. The in-person workshop is an opportunity to get some hands-on skills and leave the workshop with auto-confidence!

WiE Spring Semester Kick Off 2023

Join the Women in Engineering Undergraduate and Graduate Committees as we kick off the Spring 2023 term with games, food, and networking with fellow UW students! Industry mentors from PointClickCare will be present to network with students and discuss employment opportunities. Please register as food and swag is limited.

WiE x NSBE Fireside Chat with Ajoa Mintah

The Women in Engineering Committee, in collaboration with the National Society of Black Engineers, will be sitting down for a fireside chat with Ajoa Mintah, UWaterloo Chemical Engineering Graduate and owner/founder of Four All Ice Cream. We will be speaking with Ajoa about her journey as a black, female entrepreneur. Participants will have the opportunity to ask Ajoa about her experience and journey from engineering student to business owner.
