As a Waterloo Engineering student, you'll be part of Canada's largest undergraduate engineering program, made up of dynamic, smart, socially conscious, and connected students, professors, and staff that are helping shape the future.
Engineering - the Waterloo way
Waterloo Engineering pioneered co-operative education in Canada, and continues to be a world-leader in education through innovative and experiential learning.
- Graduate with the advantage: All of our students take on six co-op work terms, alternating with their study terms. That provides each student with two years of valuable, paid work experience by the time they graduate, and sometimes, even a job offer!
- Direct entry means direct access: You won't need to compete for a place in your major in second year, and will have a clear sense of the strengths and opportunities that come with your program from day one.
- Incredible community: Our programs are divided into cohorts of 120 students or less, leading to strong relationships with your classmates, opportunities for collaboration, and a great faculty to student ratio.
- A leader in student experience: There's no shortage of opportunity for Waterloo Engineering students: more than 20 undergraduate design teams, world-leading resources and facilities, a vibrant Engineering Society, a full social calendar, international exchanges, co-op opportunities, international competitions, leadership opportunities, starting a company, and so much more keep our students actively engaged, and getting the most out of their education.
