Occupational Health

Occupational health services provides programming and services for employees of the university. They will assist with workplace accommodations and support employees returning to work following an illness or injury.

Disclosure

Disclosure of a disability is a challenging decision. It is situational dependent and a personal choice. There are two key factors to consider:

Determine the need to disclose then decide when you will disclose then plan how you will disclose

  1. the impact of the disability on your job performance and
  2. your need for accommodation.

Disclosure is effective when you are knowledgeable and able to clearly state your skills and abilities along with your disability-related needs.
