The Fun Run is the longest-standing Reunion tradition at the University of Waterloo.
We invite alumni and all community members to participate in our annual Fun Run on Saturday September 28, 2019. This event is for all ages and ability levels. Costumes are encouraged!
Registration opens June 26, 2019.
Wear your favourite active gear or costume! Prizes will be awarded to best adult, group, and youth costumes.

2018 Frequently asked questions
Will the race continue if it rains?
Yes. Unless there is lightening or other extreme weather conditions, the race runs rains or shine! The post-race festivities however will be moved from the Arts Quad space to the Arts Lecture Hall Building.
Where can I park on campus?
Will I receive a 2018 Fun Run T-shirt?
The first 500 to register online will receive a technical 2018 Fun Run race T-shirt. Note: Your T-shirt size will be guaranteed up until August 17, 2018. If you registered after this date, you may not receive the T-shirt size you requested. Thank you for understanding.
Can I register on race-day?
Yes, we will have race-day registration on Saturday, September 22 from 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. Please arrive early to register on the day of the race as space will be limited.
Will there be medical teams on site?
Our student-run Campus Response Teams (CRT) will be on-site to provide assistance in emergency situations requiring First Aid and CPR. For more serious emergencies, CRT responders are trained to take charge of a scene and communicate with the on-duty Police Officers at the event.
Where can I store my belongings during the race?
We will provide a locked and volunteer supervised space in the Arts Lecture Hall Building, Room 124 for race participants to leave their belongings.
What activities are available during the race?
There will be a designated activities area which includes face-painting, games, photobooth, and more!
Can I pick up my race-kit before the race?
Race-kit pick-ups will be available on Friday, September 21, from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the Arts Lecture Hall Building, Room 105.
Where does the course start and finish on campus?
The Run starts on Ring Road in front of the Science Teaching Complex and ends in front of the Modern Languages building in the Arts Quad. 2.5km participants will go through the course once while 5km participants will go around twice.
