Crystal
BA ’91
Chapter Co-Chair
Crystal is a project management consultant and program manager of international rail transit and construction infrastructure mega-projects. She is interested in helping alumni connect and build the reputation of the university.
Elizabeth

Chapter Co-Chair
After graduating she worked at the University of Waterloo before her current role supporting partnerships at Bullfrog Power. She is a proud alumnus and is excited to share all the great things UWaterloo has done and continues to do.
Meighan
BSW ‘07
Community Development Co-Lead
Meighan graduated from Renison (BSW ’07) and spent nearly a decade living in England before returning to Canada. She now serves as Chief Development Officer in the not-for-profit sector. Outside of work, Meighan is a devoted mom and loves staying active. She is committed to strengthening the Waterloo alumni community and creating meaningful connections in the Toronto region.
Dharvi

Events Co-Lead
Dharvi is a Senior Research Engineer with experience working in Machine Learning and Data Science. Outside of work, Dharvi likes playing tennis, running, biking and reading. She is interested in helping foster a strong alumni network in the Toronto region.
Arthur

Community Development Co-Lead
Arthur is a Partner at Nexus Strategic Consultants, helping tech companies scale and navigate government regulations & opportunities. A former senior advisor to Canadian Industry and Trade Ministers and corporate executive in fintech and proptech, he bridges public-private innovation. Arthur is excited to leverage his organizing experience to support UW's Toronto alumni network.
Rhea

Events Co-Lead
Rhea has called Toronto home since graduating university. She works for the City of Toronto and actively participates in several initiatives within the City. Her love for events led to the launch of Rhea's Events, a passion project that offers wedding coordination services for couples getting married. Apart from work, Rhea enjoys staying active through sports, including tennis, volleyball, running and cycling. She also enjoys reading, going for walks in nature, and spending time with family and friends (many of whom are UW grads as well!).

Chérisse
BA ’17
Chapter Co-Chair
As a former international student, Chérisse was active in several volunteer roles around campus including the Association of Caribbean Students and the International Canadian Student Network. Post-graduation, she continued to be of service as a member of UW staff in several student facing roles like Graduate and Administrative Coordinator in Applied Math, and International Student Experience Coordinator in the Student Success Office. She is currently an Undergraduate Recruitment Officer in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo and continues to support students in her day-to-day work. She is a proud Waterloo grad and is thrilled to connect with alumni in the Waterloo Region as well as on her travels around the world.
David

Chapter Co-Chair
David is the Co-Chair for the Waterloo Region Alumni Chapter. David is currently a faculty member in the School of Accounting and Finance at the University of Waterloo and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. He was born and raised in Kitchener, and is excited to find new ways to connect with other alumni in the vibrant Waterloo Region community.
Katie

Katie is the VP Operations for Jennifer Moss Inc. She has spent her career as an office administrator for a variety of non-profit and corporate organizations. She is passionate about the local community, and is excited to help develop chapter events that appeal to the wide interests of the area alumni.
Laura

Laura runs the community program at Vidyard, building and implementing the company’s social impact programming. She is one of the founding organizers behind Plugin, a local non-profit that connects the tech community to charitable organizations.
Precious
MDP ’25
Chapter Executive Member
Precious is a dedicated administrative professional with a foundation in business and human resources. Driven by a desire to make a broader impact, she pursued a Master of Development Practice in the Faculty of Environment, which deepened her passion for environmental protection and sustainability. She now actively promotes environmental education through creative storytelling and social media. Precious is excited to bring this passion to leading sustainability-themed events for the Waterloo Region alumni community.
Izza
BA ’19
Chapter Executive Member
Izza graduated from UW with a BA in Sociology, Business and HRM minor. Later, she pursued her MBA at Wilfrid Laurier University. She currently works as a Sr. Manager in Change Management at Loblaw. A driven entrepreneur at heart, Izza is also the co-founder of Motia Rentals — a platform dedicated to making South Asian fashion more accessible and sustainable through renting, reselling and consignment. Outside of work, Izza finds joy in travelling, hiking and solving jigsaw puzzles. She is a proud UW grad, who's thrilled to be reconnecting with the Waterloo community, fellow alumni and rediscovering the region she once called home.

Lisa T
BA ’17
Chapter Executive Member
Born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, she ventured from a quaint town to a bustling city for her education. Armed with a degree from the University of Waterloo's Arts & Business program, with a focus on Speech Communications, she dove into various roles spanning government, tech, and now HR at an NGO. Now residing in Ottawa, she's determined to cultivate community spirit and forge unforgettable experiences in the nation's capital. With a knack for fostering connections, she's thrilled to unite Ottawans—both seasoned locals and newcomers alike— in creating enduring memories.

Katie

After graduating from Geography in 2010, Katie moved to Ottawa to find work and now working as a Proposal Lead for a defence & aerospace company, having worked in business development support roles in the mining and aviation sectors previously. She looks forward to helping Ottawa alumni and students expand their personal and professional networks across faculties.
Sara

After graduating from Kinesiology, Sara shifted into project and program management in the international development and global health sectors, working for various not-for-profits/NGOs in Southern Africa, the UK and Ontario, before returning to Ottawa recently. In her current role with WaterAid Canada, she facilitates multisectoral and international collaboration and partnerships, and looks forward to helping UWaterloo alumni and students in the Ottawa area connect.
Mollika

Chapter Executive Member
Mollika graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2012 with a BA in Economics and later pursued her Master’s at York University. She moved to Ottawa for work and is currently an Economist with the Government of Canada. In her spare time, Mollika enjoys hiking around Ottawa and practicing hot yoga. Passionate about community, she joined the Ottawa Alumni Volunteer group to bring people together and strengthen connections.
Gloria

Gloria graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2016 with a Bachelor of Mathematics, triple majoring in Mathematical Finance, Statistics, and Actuarial Science. She then pursued a Master's degree in Operations Research and Information Engineering at Cornell University, completing it in 2017. In 2018, Gloria relocated to Ottawa after marrying her husband, a UW Electrical and Computer Engineering graduate (class of 2015). Since then, she has been working at Canada Post as a data scientist. Outside of work, Gloria enjoys knitting, reading, and participating in group fitness classes at her local gym.
Alyssa

Alyssa graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2020 with a BA in Recreation and Sport Business (co-op). She now works as an Events & Technology Manager at a marketing and events agency, where she plans and delivers corporate events for some of Canada’s leading organizations. Originally from Cape Breton Island, Alyssa has called Ottawa home since 2022. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring Ottawa’s cycling paths, snowboarding in the winter, and spending quiet evenings sewing. Alyssa is excited to bring together local UWaterloo alumni and students in the region.

David is a software developer who loves the challenge of building robust and impactful technology. He enjoys being active, especially spending time cycling and hiking in the mountains around Calgary. He is excited to engage with and build up the UWaterloo community in Calgary.

A Wills and Estates lawyer, social entrepreneur and co-founder of FullSoul Canada, Christina is keen on making meaningful and stimulating connections with others. After living in several cities in Canada and abroad, she is eager to leverage her multi-local identity to encourage the Waterloo community in Calgary to bolster a sense of belonging.
Shan

Shan recently graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Management as well as a Masters in Accounting. He moved to Calgary many years ago, but went to Ontario for University. Currently, he is working with a big 4 accounting firm in Calgary. He runs a small social change organization called "First Letter International” that helps empower women in rural areas around the globe by sponsoring their education. He also hosts a podcast where he raises his voice for women's rights. In his spare time, he like to go hiking, cycling or any other sports where he can socialize and make friends! Shan is a big fan of pizza and ice cream, so if you know of any great places or just want to say hi, please feel free to connect with him!
Hannah

At Waterloo, Hannah really enjoyed being involved as a Frosh week orientation leader, Mascot, and residence Don. She was involved in various cultural and marketing clubs, and especially enjoyed contacting local companies to collaborate for fundraising and sponsorship opportunities.
Her interests are event coordination, going to musicals and admiring pretty sunsets. She can sing and have been a national anthem singer at various events. Recently, Hannah moved from New York, is working as a Project Manager with an IT firm and is excited to connect with other alumni!
Sara

Now an event professional, Sara graduated from the Recreation & Sports Business program in the Faculty of Health (formerly Applied Health Sciences) in 2016. Along the way, she has worked in agriculture, post-secondary, and public sectors. In 2022, Sara made the leap from Ontario to Alberta where she currently resides. In her spare time, she’s a crafty queen who also dabbles in golf, yoga and weightlifting. Sara is excited to engage with alumni in Calgary and foster a sense of UWaterloo community along the way.
Mengwen

Mengwen moved to Alberta after university and decided to call Calgary home, where she finds a great balance between city life and nature. She is currently a fixed income trader for Franklin Templeton. Mengwen is excited to give back to the UWaterloo community and help bring alumni together.
Kianna
BSc '19
Kianna graduated with Honours in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo in 2019 and has since dedicated her career to Student Affairs, championing student success and transitions across multiple institutions. Since joining the University of Calgary in a full-time role in late 2023, she has embraced all that Alberta has to offer and would love to connect with other Waterloo alumni who've made Calgary home. When not supporting students or pursuing further education, you'll find her exploring the Rockies—climbing, hiking, and skiing.

Jonathan
BA '14
Chapter Executive Member
Jonathan is originally from Toronto but heard the mountains calling from Vancouver. He was previously a Global Ambassador for alumni in Australia, specifically Melbourne and Sydney. Jon is a software sales and business development professional experienced in EdTech and MarTech.
Outside of work, Jon can be found at Kitsilano Beach, hiking or photographing the mountains. He is always open to meet newcomers and alum for a walk or an espresso!

John is a Risk Associate at Aon, who is eager to give back to the university by making a positive impact to his fellow alumni. When John isn't busy at work, he loves going on hikes and runs, baking delicious treats, and painting. He also cares deeply about the environment and often clean up beaches to protect our oceans.

Sherry is a product designer at Fortinet who enjoys hiking in her spare time. Additionally, she demonstrates a strong commitment to giving back to her university through volunteering, which is a wonderful way to support future generations of students and maintain strong connections within the academic community.
Michelle

Chapter Executive Member
Michelle was born and raised in Hong Kong where she worked as an IT consultant specializing in the banking industry and as a Trade Advisor at the Canadian Consulate General in Shanghai. Passionate about community building, she has been an active volunteer with the University of Waterloo Alumni Association in Hong Kong and played a key role in launching the Shanghai Chapter during her time there. Michelle remains committed to strengthening the UW alumni network and fostering connections across the region. Outside of her professional and volunteer work, she enjoys exploring the world of wine and food, baking and cooking, and cherishes time spent with family and friends.

Brent graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Physics in 2008 and worked as a Software Quality Engineer for 15 years. He is the co-founder of SlacklifeBC Gear Inc, a company that specializes in stunt rigging for the TV and Movie industry. He has worked on TV shows such as Amazing Race Canada and Canada's Ultimate Challenge as a Key Rigger. Brent enjoys spending his time outdoors rock climbing, mountaineering, hiking, camping and fishing.
