Meaghan Kimball

Meaghan Kimball

Alumni Council

Meaghan Kimball (nee Stoll) graduated from the University Waterloo in 2006 with a Bachelor of Mathematics with a major in statistics and minor in economics. Meaghan's undergraduate experience at UWaterloo was diverse and stimulating. She was a Rene Descartes National Scholarship recipient, Academic All-Canadian as captain of the varsity curling team and international exchange student during her third year studies at Heriot Watt University in Scotland.

Meaghan currently works in foreign currency risk management in the Treasury department of at a large technology company in Silicon Valley. Previously, Meaghan worked in capital markets in Toronto and New York as a financial derivatives specialist. Meaghan also holds a Masters of Science from Stanford University and is a CFA charterholder.

Lisa Dusseault

Lisa is a celebrated engineer who has built her career solving complex technology problems. After Microsoft, she led internet standards groups at the IETF that enable us all to communicate and collaborate in calendars, messaging, and file-sharing. Lisa has led fast-moving engineering teams at Linden Lab and Stubhub, and founded technology startups including Klutch and ShareTheVisit. Lisa is currently the CTO and Co-Founder of Compaas.

Diana Wong

Chapter Lead

Diana is a UW Engineering alumni and has lived in the Bay for the last four years, where she has helped to connect the 2,000+ alum in the area with one another. Diana is focused on developing the SF Bay Area Women's Network, supporting our startup and tech interest areas, and helping UW alum network across (and beyond) the 300k Canadians in the region. Currently completing her MBA at the University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business, Diana is an entrepreneur with a keen eye on tech startups in China and Southeast Asia, having founded a media network in 2016. Previously, Diana worked in management consulting at Accenture and a sustainable textiles startup in New York.

Is currently a senior product manager at Udemy, a global online education marketplace based in San Francisco. Having found few student organizations back in Waterloo, including UW PM and Product Vision Club, he is passionate about building communities. He is excited to continue to bring the UW community together here in the Bay Area.

Is a tax consultant who loves tax planning as well as helping people achieve their financial goals and business success. She is passionate about bringing alumni together through fun alumni events and to strengthen the brand of UWaterloo in the San Francisco Bay area.

Melissa has a decade of project management experience in the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare technology industries. She moved to the SF Bay Area eight years ago and volunteers her time with various organizations, while raising young children. She is a proud alumnus and is excited to share all the great things UWaterloo has done and continues to do.

Rumeesa Khalid

Chapter Executive Member

Is a proud global citizen and TCK (Third-Culture Kid). As a UW student, she obtained a multidisciplinary co-op degree and was actively involved in on-campus life as a Residence Don and an Arts Endowment Fund board member. She was also honoured to receive the President’s Circle Award for Leadership Volunteerism. Professionally, her work experience spans both large corporations and start-ups across the software, mobile, platform and app space in both Silicon Valley Silicon Valley North.

Rumeesa loves spending time with family and friends, hiking, volunteering, supporting the arts, as well as empowering women in politics and championing the women in tech community. Rumeesa looks forward to improving the collective futures of 2000+ University of Waterloo “geese” that have flocked westward and congregated in the Bay area.
