The Goosechase game is open beginning Monday, September 20, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. ET and ends on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Entries into the draw will be accepted during the same timeframe.
The draw is open only to residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) and the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who: (i) have reached the legal age of majority in their province/territory/state of residence at the time of entry, except employees (current and retired, and those with whom such persons are living, whether related or not) of the University of Waterloo, and each of their respective distributors, representatives, agents, sponsors, parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, dealers, advertising/promotion agencies and any other individual(s), entity or entities involved in the development, production, implementation, administration or fulfillment of the draw.
Please note that you do not need to participate in the Goosechasee game to be eligible for the draw. To be included in the draw without participating in the game, please submit your name and e-mail by email to alumni@uwaterloo.ca by September 26, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Please note that you must meet eligibility requirements as defined as above to be able to participate in the draw.
The draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with GooseChase. GooseChase is hereby completely released of all liability by each entrant in this draw. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the draw must be directed to the University of Waterloo and not to GooseChase.
There are six (6) prizes available to be won, including two (2) prizes of up to $200 CAD (ARV $200.00 CAD) to spend on any in-stock apparel and goods from The Peace Collective, two (2) prizes of up to $200 CAD (ARV $200.00 CAD) to spend on any in-stock apparel and goods from the W Store and two (2) $200 CAD Instacart gift cards (ARV $200.00 CAD).
The Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable, assignable or convertible to cash (except as may be specifically permitted by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion). The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Prize in whole or in part in the event that all or any component of the Prize is unavailable with a prize or prize component(s) of equal or greater retail value, including, without limitation, but solely at the Sponsor’s sole discretion, a cash award. All characteristics and features of the Prize, except as otherwise explicitly stated above, are at the Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. The Prize winner is solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein. Manufacturer’s standard warranty, if any, applies to the Prize.
On October 1, 2021 (the “Selection Date”) in Waterloo, Ontario at 2:00 p.m. ET, the University of Waterloo will perform: (i) a random draw from among all eligible Entries submitted and received in accordance with these Rules during the Contest Period to select six (6) Prize winners.
The University of Waterloo or its designated representative will make a minimum of two (2) attempts to contact each potential winner (via email) within five (5) business days of the Selection Date. If the potential winner cannot be contacted within five (5) business days of the Selection Date, or if there is a return of any notification as undeliverable; then he/she may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the University of Waterloo, be disqualified (and, if disqualified, will forfeit all rights to the Prize) and the University of Waterloo reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion and time permitting, to randomly select an alternate Prize winner, as applicable, from among the remaining applicable eligible Entries submitted and received in accordance with these Rules during the Contest Period (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such newly selected potential winner).
Before being awarded the prize, the selected entrant must respond by the timeframe provided in the initial contact email, within (5) business days of receiving the email, and correctly answer a time-limited skill-testing mathematical question. Failure to respond to the initial contact email within the identified timeframe or a failed skill-testing question will result in the opportunity to win being passed on to the next eligible entrant.

- The University is not responsible for any incomplete, failed or delayed transmission of your submission due to technical difficulties, including interruption or delays caused by equipment, Internet or software malfunction.
- The University reserves the right to disqualify any entry not conforming to these Rules and Regulations at any time. The University assumes no responsibility for entry fraud committed by an entrant and reserves the right to demand the return of the prize and all costs associated with remedying any prize awarded to an ineligible entry or entrant.
