AZ Award for excellence

The AZ Award for excellence in international architecture and design in the school work category went to Alex Josephson (BAS '07, Architectural Studies; MARCH '10, Architecture) for his "temporary mosque."

Heather Muir (BA '10, Drama) attended a reception in honour of Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, hosted by Governor General David Johnston at Rideau Hall. Muir, an active volunteer for Canadian Blood Services and many other causes, was among 120 Canadian youth selected to attend the event, which celebrated "the exceptional service of Canadian youth towards a smart and caring nation."

Polar Mobile has signed licensing agreements with the Major League Baseball Players Association and NFL Players Inc. to develop mobile applications that will showcase some of the most famous football and baseball players in the world. Kunal Gupta (BASc '08, Software Engineering) describes it as "... connecting fans with the players, versus fans with the game."
