Join President Feridun Hamdullahpur and Waterloo alumni for an exclusive alumni event at the National Gallery of Canada. Raymond Laflamme, Executive Director for the Institute for Quantum Computing, will present “Waterloo’s Ongoing Science Legacy: From Engineering and Math to the Quantum World”.

Learn how five decades after the birth of uWaterloo, the university is again pioneering a bold new area: quantum information science and technology. This emerging branch of research unifies many disciplines toward a common goal – taming the quantum world to develop unprecedented new technologies.


Cost: $10 per person (includes hors d’oeuvres and one beverage)

5:15 p.m. to 6 p.m. Exclusive access to the Canadian collection (complimentary for alumni)

6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Alumni networking in the Water Court Foyer

7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Special presentation by President Feridun Hamdullahpur and Ray Laflamme
