Start your day back on campus with a visit to one of two welcome tents located at both major University entrances. Pick up a map, ask for directions or get information about all the exciting programming happening across campus.


Flight Simulator Training

Saturday, June 1, 2024 | 9 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. | WISA Sim Lab, EV2-242

Pre-registration required | $300/session

Get behind the controls of the ALSIM AL250 flight simulator, which can be reconfigured to represent several types of aircraft used within pilot training, including single-engine, complex single-engine, and multi-engine aircrafts. You'll be guided by Aeronautical Research Coordinator, Rafael Pastorin Repato through a 45-minute live training session and experience first-hand what it's like to be an aviation student at the University of Waterloo.

Session times are designed for one person but can be shared with another person in your group. Please arrive on time and bring a clean change of shoes for your session. If you are unable to do so, you will be provided shoe covers to wear prior to entering the simulator.


Rock Climbing at the SLC/PAC

Saturday, June 1, 2024 | 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. | SLC/PAC Climbing Wall

The Department of Athletics and Recreation invites Waterloo alumni to experience the rock climbing wall in the SLC/PAC expansion at the heart of UWaterloo campus.

There are three one-hour time slots available on Saturday, June 1st to choose from:
• 9:00AM – 10:00AM
• 10:00AM – 11:00AM
• 11:00AM – 12:00PM

There is a limit of 25 people for each time slot, so be sure to register in advance to secure your spot! All experience levels are welcome. Climbers must be 16 years or older to participate.

Instructions and an overview of climbing protocol will be provided to each group. All climbing equipment will be provided for guests including shoes and harnesses. We ask all guests wear athletic clothing and bring their own water bottles.

Online registration closes Thursday, May 30th. Walk-ins are welcome on the day of Reunion if capacity has not been reached.

Why not start your day with breakfast with a T-Rex? We'll be serving up some family favourite breakfast food beside our Earth Sciences Museum. Come visit our new T-Rex exhibit, dig out your very own fish fossil, witness a simulated cobalt mine explosion as well as experience our other incredible museum favourites. You might just find yourself in the jaws of a T-Rex!


Busy Brains

Join us for a morning filled with family-friendly activities that blend education with fun. This event is curated for alumni with young families and grandchildren, providing an opportunity for both parents and children to experience the wonders of learning together. Activities include building a brain hat, exploring the human body, interacting with the mascot and much more. Feel free to drop in or come for the morning.


Ecology Lab Activities

Relive your days in the Ecology Lab with some fun, hands-on, student-led activities, including: Beeswax Wrap making, Candle making and Bird Feeder making. Take home a useful, sustainable keepsake of Reunion that you made with your own two hands! Open to explorers of all ages.

Anatomy Lab - anatomical review session

Anatomy 202 offers a 2-hour, hands-on, anatomical review session for health care professionals. We welcome new and experienced health care professionals who want to review anatomy using human cadaver donors. Donors have been dissected to demonstrate musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, digestive, and nervous systems.

A certificate of completion and an accompanying letter are provided for those who would like to submit for continuing education credits. Lab coats and disposable nitrile gloves will be provided. Masks are encouraged and available.

The cost for this course has been waived for alumni attending Alumni Weekend. Space is limited, if you are no longer able to attend please let us know so we can allow others to attend.


POETS Social Mixer
