Arctic-boreal carbon flux synthesis: call for data contributions

Friday, November 24, 2023

What we are looking for: Terrestrial or aquatic CO2 and CH4 fluxes aggregated to monthly time steps, and supporting environmental data if available

Deadline: December, 2023, but earlier submissions are highly appreciated

More details: Here is the link to the frequently asked questions and responses so far; it includes a link to a recording of an introductory presentation as well. If you have any questions, we can help you via email or Zoom.

Current progress: more than 10,000 monthly fluxes compiled from repositories, PIs, and publications

Some earlier studies that we are building this upon: Natali et al. 2019, Virkkala et al. 2021, Virkkala et al. 2022, Kuhn et al. 2021

Projects funding this work: Permafrost Pathways, Q-Arctic, GreenFeedback

on behalf of Anna Virkkala and Isabel Wargowsky and their flux synthesis team (Sue Natali, Brendan Rogers, Kenzie Kuhn, Mathias Goeckede, Judith Vogt, and many more)
