Following this year's success, the public Peatland Science Symposium jointly held with PERG will return on Feb. 19, 2025, in Kananaskis, Alberta. This Symposium will feature exciting research updates from both PERG and Can-Peat researchers and partners. All those interested in peatlands are welcome to come.
The Peatland Science Symposium will be followed by the 2025 Can-Peat Annual Meeting on Feb. 20-21. Main topics will include continuing work on Indigenous engagement, our metadata repository (now called the Canadian Peatland Data Portal, knowledge mobilization, and research updates.
