Summer Accommodations

• Check-out: 11:00 am

Upon checkout keys must be returned to the Summer Accommodations Front Desk in the original envelope.

Please note that a $100.00 (plus applicable taxes) charge will apply for any key not returned.

Please note that we require a 48-hour cancellation notice prior to your check-in day to receive a 90% refund on your payment.

No refunds will be granted for cancellations received after that time or for no-shows. The University reserves the right to terminate your stay, reassign rooms, and to put into effect other steps for safety, security, and conduct of Summer Accommodations guests.

Free parking is available to guests staying overnight with Summer Accommodations in Lots S & V with overflow parking available in Lot J. Other visitors can also park in these lots by purchasing a parking pass at the Pay & Display machine in Lot S for $7.00/day.

Please don’t forget to obtain a parking pass from our front desk staff in Ron Eydt Village (REV) upon your arrival to avoid parking tickets or towing.

Amenities

Each guest room includes fresh linens (pillow, sheets, blanket), a towel, and body wash.
We recommend bringing your own toiletries, such as shampoo, conditioner, and other personal items.

Forgot something? Visit our front desk—we have essentials like toothpaste, toothbrushes, and shaving cream available for purchase.

Towel and linen exchange is available weekly for short-term guests.

WatCard-operated washers and dryers are located in the Ron Eydt Village (REV) Central Complex. 

WatCards are available to purchase at the Front Desk.

All guests have access to complimentary Wi-Fi! Please see our staff at the front desk for Internet login information or simply select UniversityofWaterloo from the list of wireless connections, select Register for guest access, and fill in your name and email.

For the convenience of all guests “Quiet Hours” are designated from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. Please respect your neighbours!

The University of Waterloo is a non-smoking facility. A fine of $250 will be applied to anyone found smoking in their guest room.

Effective July 1, 2024, all smoking is prohibited at our University and campuses, including the use of electronic smoking devices, and electronic nicotine delivery systems that create an aerosol or vapour. Through enforcement of this policy, members of the University Special Constable Service have the authority to ticket individuals found in repeated violation. Warnings issued under this policy will be recorded in the enforcement ticketing system. For more information on Policy 29 and the guidelines for transition, please see Policy 29 on the University of Waterloo website. 

Guests who are 19 years of age or older are permitted to consume alcohol responsibly in the private sectors of the residence. Alcohol consumption is not permitted in the courtyard areas or the central complex. Please see Policy 21 for more information.

Animals are not allowed in guest rooms or common areas, in accordance with UWaterloo residence health and safety regulations. However, service animals are welcome; all we ask is that you kindly contact us ahead of your stay if you require accommodation.
