This one day workshop will focus on issues relating to vehicle light-weighting, such as joining, corrosion, and implementation of dissimilar materials. Both academic and industrial speakers will present their latest findings and perspectives on subjects including:

This annual event is being organized in cooperation with the Consul General of Canada, Detroit, and is meant to foster greater collaboration between the U.S. and Canadian automotive supplier industries. The keynote address will be given by Ralph V.
With the advent of electrified vehicles, ride sharing, vehicle sharing and the advances in connected and autonomous vehicles, it is predicted that surface transportation is about to go through a major Renaissance. Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) is the collective term that includes many of the emerging transportation alternatives including vehicle sharing, (Car2Go, Modo, Zoom, Evo), ride sharing/ hailing (Lyft/ Sidecar, Uber) and bike sharing (Bixi, Vélib).
This first user workshop is an exciting opportunity for industry, government and academic professionals within the modeling and simulation community to present and learn about research and development occurring within the GHBMC program. The workshop will be held on April 11th, 2016. Current users of the model including industry, government and academic centers worldwide, are invited to present their research and development activities utilizing GHBMC models.
