Could solar geoengineering be the solution to climate change?

In a recent appearance on CTV's Your Morning show, Professor Juan Moreno-Cruz, University of Waterloo's Canada Research Chair in Energy Transitions, explained that Solar Geoengineering are a set of technologies meant to cool down the planet, specifically talking about Stratospheric Aerosol Injections. He talked about the importance of research in Solar Geoengineering in order to better understand the options available to us and the viability of the technologies proposed. He further explained the important role Canada can play in this research as a middle power that is committed to reducing its carbon emissions, emphasizing Canada's potential to also bring forward much-needed Indigenous voices and opinions.
