The Cognitive Development Lab at the University of Waterloo presents 'Suggested Books'!

In this series, we will provide suggestions for books that capture some of the concepts or themes that we study in our lab.

Feel free to click the title of these books below to get a closer look at what they are all about: 

(1) "The Whole-Brain Child" by Daniel J. Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson. This book provides caregivers with parenting approaches that take into account a child's cognitive and emotional functioning.

(2) "Zoom" by Istvan Banyai. This picture book provides opportunity to ask children about the nature of their thoughts and predictions.

(3) "Little Blue Truck" by Alice Schertle. This children's book highlights concepts of collaboration and prosocial behaviour.
