We wanted to share some exciting news about an upcoming event! As you may already be aware, the CS GSA has partnered with the Math GSA to bring you another online event. This time we will be hosting Jackbox sessions for you all to enjoy! This is a great opportunity to keep in touch with your fellow grad students, unwind for a bit, and play some hilarious party games. The event will take place on October 1st, from 6:00pm-8:00pm (EDT). You can find the event through the Math Faculty Grad Students Team on Microsoft Teams.
Well, it's that time of year again. The beginning of the fall term, and the start of a new academic year. We wanted to take this moment to welcome back all returning students, and to give a warm welcome to all new CS grad students!
We know it's been a long time since the last CS GSA event. With Canada Day quickly approaching, we have joined together with the Math GSA to bring you all an online trivia night! The trivia will run 7:00pm to 8:30pm on Wednesday, July 1st. You can join together with your fellow math grad students to form teams of 2-4. To take part, simply register your team through the link sent to your uwaterloo inbox!
Computer Science Graduate Students will be choosing the next CS GSA President. An exciting event is on its way! On Wednesday, March 4th, we will host a trip to Chicopee Tube Park for an afternoon of winter fun, and best of all, it's only $8.85+tax for both the bus and park ticket. Now what is tubing, you might ask? Great question! Imagine sledding but on a giant tire.
The CS GSA is excited to host a talk unlike anything you have seen from us before! We have partnered up with Ralph and we will be talking about how to negotiate a better salary!
The event will take place on Feb 10th, at 2 PM in DC1302.
It gets even better: refreshments will be provided.
