Travelling by bus/train

  • The Kitchener VIA Rail and GO Transit stations are located at 126 Weber Street West. Travelers can reach the universities and the Delta Hotel from the stations via a 10-minute trip by taxi or a 30 minute trip by public transit. You can book a taxi in advance with Waterloo Taxi.
  • Greyhound Canada offers bus service to cities and towns across North America. Greyhound service reaches Kitchener’s Charles St. Transit Terminal with over 20 buses a day from Toronto. Travelers can reach the universities and the Delta Hotel from the stations via a 10-minute trip by taxi or a 30 minute trip by public transit. You can book a taxi in advance with Waterloo Taxi.
  • Grand River Transit provides local bus service throughout Waterloo, Kitchener and Cambridge. Routes 7, 8, 9, 12, 200 iXpress and 202 iXpress reach the University campuses.
  • Routes 5 reaches Delta Waterloo and connects with route 7 and 200 iXpress via King St.

Travelling by car

Please note: A large portion of King Street is closed for construction. For more information about road closures, please visit the City of Kitchener website.

To Delta Waterloo

  • Take Highway 401 exit 278 (from Toronto) or exit 278B (from London) to Highway 8 West Kitchener/Waterloo.
  • Follow the signs for 85 North to Waterloo/7 East to Guelph.
  • Follow the signs to 85 North. Keep left; do not exit on 7 East (Victoria Street and Guelph).
  • Exit at University Avenue West (second University Avenue exit)
  • Drive along University Avenue West (Laurier is on the left-side at 75 University Avenue West, UW is on the right-side at 200 University Avenue West)
  • Turn left onto Westmount Road North
  • Turn left onto Erb Street West
  • Continue driving along Erb Street West until you reach Delta Waterloo (on the left, 110 Erb Street West)

To University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University Campuses

  • Take Highway 401 exit 278 (from Toronto) or exit 278B (from London) to Highway 8 West Kitchener/Waterloo.
  • Follow the signs for 85 North to Waterloo/7 East to Guelph.
  • Follow the signs to 85 North. Keep left; do not exit on 7 East (Victoria Street and Guelph).
  • Exit at University Avenue West (the second University Avenue exit).
  • Drive along University Avenue West (Laurier is on the left-side at 75 University Avenue West) or continue to Seagram Drive (UWaterloo).
  • Turn left onto to Seagram Drive.

Parking

Complimentary parking is provided for guests of the Delta Waterloo. Paid parking is available for CUPA conference attendees who are not guests of Delta Waterloo.
