eCampusOntario Update | 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Catherine Newell Kelly, eCampusOntario
The eCampusOntario portal went live less than one year ago, and the organization has since developed its first strategic plan, mapping its course to the end of March 2018. In addition to ongoing evolution of the portal itself, eCampusOntario will support innovation in online and technology-enabled learning through new, collaborative program development and through creation and/or use of open content and open textbooks. Students want high quality, well-supported online learning experiences, more choice in online programs and courses, and greater flexibility to customize their program of study to meet their needs (e.g., by moving between programs, or augmenting their program with courses from other institutions). This session will cover the short and longer-term plans for eCampusOntario to work toward these student-centred goals, and will explore participant perspectives on potential business models for collaborative program development and delivery—within and across the college and university sectors. CUPA delegates are an informed group to provide such insights, and eCampusOntario will benefit from your experience and expertise!
