Cameron Seth travelled to Tokyo, Japan to do a research internship at the National Institute of Informatics. After meeting Professor Yuichi Yoshida at a conference and realizing their overlapping research interests, Cameron applied to the internship and was selected to go work with him. Through the support of this connection and the support of an International Experience Award, Cameron was able to further his research for his doctoral research in theoretical computer science.

Cameron had a very positive experience in Tokyo, getting to do research and experience Japanese culture: "The research experience was amazing! In addition, getting to live in Tokyo was a one in a lifetime opportunity. I got to explore so much of the city and learn about the culture. My favourite experience was climbing Mount Fuji."

Cameron encourages other students in computer science and engineering interested in an international experience to look at the National Institute of Informatics internship program.
