WaterTalk: Importance and Effects of Physical Processes in Lake Ecosystems

Assistant Professor in the Environmental Physics Group and Academic Councilor at the Limnological Institute of the University of Konstanz, Dr. Hilmar Hofmann, will present on the "Importance and Effects of Physical Processes in Lake Ecosystems" as part of the Water Institute's WaterTalks lecture series.

Professor Jun Xia, of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chair Professor and Director of The Research Institute for Water Security atWuhan University, will present "Addressing Urban Hydrological Issues: An Integrated Water Systems Approach", as part of the Water Institute's WaterTalks lecture series

The University of Rostock will be hosting researchers participating in the WETSCAPES Conference from September 10th to 13th, 2019. This year's theme is: "Understanding the ecology of restored fen peatlands for protection and sustainable use".

The annual Sceince Open House will be held on Saturday, October 26th from 10am to 4pm in the Science Teaching Complex (STC) and EIT. This free event is open to the pblic and offer activities for kids to leanr more about science at the Unviersity of Waterloo.

Canadian Science Policy Conference 2019

The 11th annual Canadian Science Policy Conference (CSPC) will be held in Ottawa, Ontario. 

This year, the Water Institute will be sponsoring a panel session titled "Personhood rights for water bodies: A fad or path to Sustainable Development Goals?", which will be held on Wednesday, November 13th, 2019 from 4:15pm - 5:30pm.
