The second Global Water Futures (GWF) Annual Science Meeting will be held at the University of Saskatchewan from May 15th to 17th, 2019. This event is open to anyone affiliated with the GWF Program, as well as all who wish to be involved with GWF. Event details can be found on the GWF webpage.
Reasearchers from the University of Waterloo's Earth and Environmental Sciences Department are co-organizing the NovCare 2019 International Conference together with he Kansas Geological Survey and the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research.

Steph will be presenting her thesis on "Bioenergetics of Mixotrophic Metabolisms: A Theoretical Analysis". All are welcome to attend.
Assistant Professor in the Environmental Physics Group and Academic Councilor at the Limnological Institute of the University of Konstanz, Dr. Hilmar Hofmann, will present on the "Importance and Effects of Physical Processes in Lake Ecosystems" as part of the Water Institute's WaterTalks lecture series.
Professor Jun Xia, of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chair Professor and Director of The Research Institute for Water Security atWuhan University, will present "Addressing Urban Hydrological Issues: An Integrated Water Systems Approach", as part of the Water Institute's WaterTalks lecture series.
