With about 40 years of experience in the education and tourism sectors, Mr. Fulu Mao currently serves at the University of Waterloo (Canada), where he is responsible for International Education Programs and international partnership development in the Faculty of Environment.

He actively contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) – Quality Education, serving as a student advisor and as the International Education & Dual Degree Program Officer.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Mao worked as the Associate Professor in Tourism in Wuhan University for 10 years, Senior Lecturer, Academic Dean, and Assistant Principal of Hubei Tourism School for 10 years, Visiting Scholar in Tourism and Policy Planning  at the University of Waterloo in 2002 and the Founder and President of Canada International Travel Service Inc. in 2010.  Earlier in his career, he taught a variety of tourism-related courses, such as Introduction to Tourism, Marketing, Principles of Tour Guiding in the Travel Industry, Tourism English,  and Tourism in Canada.
