CCDI will bring together esteemed gender equity and gender-based violence prevention educators and specialists to discuss how workplaces across Canada can recognize, prevent and respond to gender inequity and violence with intersectional and inclusive practices.

Participants will leave this conversation with more practical tools and knowledge to prevent and respond to gender inequity or violence in the workplace.  Participants will develop knowledge in bystander interventions, public legal education, and community resources.

In this session, we will explore a peer networking style of learning, where attendees will dive into meaningful discussions, share experiences, and offer mutual support. Participants will engage in multiple breakout sessions, while forging valuable connections with other professionals and job seekers. Following these individual interactions, we will come together as a group to reflect on the insights gained and close the event with a collaborative wrap-up.

Living ‘books’ will be sharing their unique set of life experiences, stories and knowledge during 25-minute one-on-one conversations that challenge stereotypes and promote understanding.

This year, to celebrate and bring awareness to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, CCDI welcomes panelists to discuss our shared responsibilities in understanding disability issues, dispelling ableist myths and stereotypes, and illuminating the vast benefits of inclusive and accessible workplaces and societies for all people.
