Katie
Seaborn
received
her
B.A.
and
M.Sc.
from
the
School
of
Interactive
Arts
and
Technology
at
Simon
Fraser
University.
She
is
currently
working
towards
a
Ph.D.
in
Mechanical
and
Industrial
Engineering
at
the
University
of
Toronto.
She
has
worked
in
the
private
and
public
sectors
as
a
web
designer,
user
experience
developer,
and
usability
expert.
In
her
academic
work,
she
has
explored
information
presentation
in
multimodal
contexts,
touch-based
displays,
and
game
interfaces
for
novice
players.
Her
research
interests
include
human
factors,
user
interface
design,
and
inclusive
media
design.
