Anne Bowser
Anne Bowser is a PhD candidate at the University of Maryland studying how the motivational affordances of games can influence participation in citizen science campaigns. Her dissertation research focuses on the design and evaluation of Floracaching, a gamified mobile application that feeds data to the Project Budburst database. Anne also works as a Research Assistant at the Woodrow Wilson Center’s Commons Lab, a think tank that analyzes how emerging technologies can inform policy, governance, research, development, and applications. Her work at the Wilson Center centers on encouraging federally-sponsored open innovation and science.
