The Mental Health Literacy Program is designed to support and address mental health within the University of Waterloo community. It is a five-module program that encourages discussions and reflections of mental health through an equity-focused lens.

All Trans University of Waterloo students, faculty, and staff are invited to join our community corner. On April 3rd from 3:00PM - 4:00PM, the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Anti-Racism Office will be holding space to connect, build community, provide support and care, and celebrate our Trans community at UW. 

This one-hour mandatory Equitable Recruitment and Selection training supports faculty in helping them design equity-centered recruitment and selection practices while discussing accountability frameworks for equitable recruitment, selection, and retention. 

An increasing number of individuals in Canada, totaling over 2 million in recent estimates, live with ongoing episodic disabilities. These disabilities, ranging from long-COVID and multiple sclerosis to lupus, arthritis, cancer, HIV, diabetes, and mental health conditions, present unique challenges and opportunities for inclusion in the workplace. In this webinar, the Pride at Work Canada team will share findings from recent research in partnership with Realize that unveil some of the nuanced aspects of episodic disabilities for 2SLGBTQIA+ people and their impact on employment, income security, social inclusion, and access to care. As part of the Menstrual Equity project at UWaterloo, we will be providing free reusable and sustainable menstrual products to students, faculty and staff on June 21 from 10am – 3pm. Join transgender therapist and educator, Washington Silk (they/them), as they talk about menstruation and trans folks! In this special Pride Month edition of our Menstrual Equity Lunch and Learn series we’ll learn more about the complex relationship between menstruation and trans bodies.

This workshop aims to help students, faculty, and staff understand the historical and contemporary forms of oppression that impact trans and non-binary Black, Indigenous, and racialized identities.
